BladeSkyn

Blade Dynamics manufactures the next generation wind turbine rotors, blade components and surface coatings. The technologies are a paradigm shift in performance and reliability from existing technology, developed and manufactured by a very experienced team.

  • Advanced Rotor Technology
  • High Performance Blade Subcomponents
  • Surface Coating Technology

The Blade Dynamics rotor is lighter, more powerful and more cost effective than existing technology. Turbines using this technology produce more power, more reliably, over a longer service life. The rotor increases annual energy production (AEP) by as much as 10% and significantly improves the profitability of equipped wind farms. The Dynamic 49 blade is the lightest blade of its size available and is easily transportable in multiple pieces.

Bladeskyn surface coating is available for coating blades of all technologies and protects the surface for 20 years. The low surface friction allows little ice formation or dirt pickup and significantly increases power output.

Blade Dynamics have recently entered into partnership with The Dow Chemical Company and American Superconductor, establishing headquarters at the NASA Michoud Assembly Facility in Louisiana. The MAF facility is a high quality environment, in a secure NASA compound, with a deep water port, offering easy access to the USA and for international shipping. The compound is shared with the US coastguard and is well protected from extreme weather conditions More information.
